Required relearn procedures
Two relearn procedures are required for proper operation:
- Security/immobilizer relearn
- A 30-minute security relearn procedure must be completed before the vehicle will start with the replacement ECM.
- Written instructions for this procedure will be included.
- Crankshaft Variation Relearn (CVR)
- After the vehicle is running, a crankshaft variation relearn must be performed.
- If this is not done, the Check Engine / Service Engine Soon light may illuminate and a trouble code (P0315) will be stored.
- You will need access to a scan tool capable of performing the CVR relearn and clearing codes. If you do not have such a tool, a repair shop can perform the procedure and clear the code.
- Note: The vehicle will run normally, but the SES light will remain on and a trouble code will be stored until the CVR relearn is completed.

Received on time flooded the direction but for some reason my autel 808 will not clear the two codes that it used to clear for the clutch and crank

I have not yet had time to install this part. The car it was purchased for is 375 miles away. However, it it works and the car will start, run, and pass emission inspection, I have a man who wants to buy the car for his son. If the part fails to repair the bad ECM memory issue, the car will be scrapped.at an auto dismantler. Cannot afford to spend more good money on an old car.

Arrived quickly. Security relearn wasn’t necessary on my 08 hhr. Started right up cleared some codes did the crank relearn and was back on the road.
