- This listing is for one refurbished and tested ECM (service number 12653998).
- The ECM will be programmed to your VIN to match your vehicle. After purchase, you must provide your VIN so we can program the module before shipping.
- There is no core charge – you keep your original ECM.
- Includes a one-year replacement warranty.
Important installation notes (read before installation)
- After installation the vehicle may or may not start. If it does not start, an antitheft password relearn procedure may be required.
- In some cases the vehicle may run for a period of time (weeks or months) and then fail to start and set DTC P0633. If this occurs, a relearn procedure must be performed so the replacement ECM can learn the security password. To avoid inconvenience, it is best to perform the relearn at the time of ECM installation.
- This relearn requires a programming tool (J2534 interface or equivalent) and access to ACDelco TDS (ACDelco Technical Delivery System). The cost to program one vehicle via ACDelco TDS is approximately $40.
- A properly equipped auto repair shop, dealer, or locksmith can perform this procedure.
- Once the vehicle is running, a crankshaft variation relearn may be required. If the check engine / service engine soon light appears after installation, the relearn must be performed and any related trouble codes (for example, P0315) cleared with a capable scan tool. If you do not have the appropriate scan tool, a repair shop will need to perform this service. The vehicle may run normally until this relearn is completed, but the warning light and codes will remain until resolved.
Flex-fuel vehicle warning
- If your vehicle is a flex-fuel model and there is any E85 in the fuel tank, you must drain the tank and flush the fuel lines before installing the new ECM so the module can calibrate correctly with gasoline.

I’m happy overall with this product but everything wasn’t programmed as expected. In the paperwork that was included with my order was a statement that I would have to take it to a shop for complete programming.

Great fast shipping. It was easy to install and even though it’s used it looked like new. After installing it noticed a few things worked better. The gas gauge actually tells me how much gas is in the tank. Before once it hit a quarter tank it would drop to empty. They did a great job programming the unit. It works great. Can’t beat the price of the unit compared to one from the dealer.

This ecm requires programming for key relearn. You can purchase others that only require manual key relearn procedure.
