I had tried to install led lights in my vehicles previously, but a couple years ago they were all too big to fit in the housings. NOT ANYMORE! These lights ROCK! I have successfully installed them in a 9th generation Chevrolet Impala with fog lamps (which are also H11’s) as well as a 2006 Ford Escape (fog lights in the Ford are 9005’s). There were no fitment problems at all…the escape was a little tight but I made it work. The results are nothing short of wonderful. I was just about to purchase Silver star ultra bulbs when I came across these, and boy am I glad I found them! I have only a slight amount of shadow pattern from the led against the reflector bowls, nothing I will complain about, as the overall results are so, so superior. I did find I had to re-aim my lights slightly, and after I did, no one flashes me the brights with these installed (they DID with my silver star ultra bulbs in place).

If they last longer than the ultra bulbs, I’m happy. I’d love them to last as long as they are rated for, but I’m a realist…and at this price, if they die in 18 months, they’re competitive.

For the first time ever, the fog lights in my Impala are more than just decorative eye candy…they actually light the road. The color temperature is perfect, makes my vehicles look modern and sharp. If you have been waiting for the perfect time to try led bulbs, this is it.

My experience thus far is that the build quality is great, but the 9005 bulbs are just a bit “off”from a standard bulb, and were. A bit loose when installed. I corrected this by placing some weatherstriping in the appropriate spot and made the little tabs engage properly. The H11/H9 bulbs were a perfect fit in every vehicle. I now know there are two versions of the 9005, one allows you to rotate the business end of the bulb to correct for any shadows…this will have to be a different housing and it may fit better than the version I got, but not sure since I don’t have any in that style to test.

The last thing I will mention is that these come in different lumens strengths, 40,000/70,000 and I noticed one at 80,000. Save your money…40,000 is all you need and you won’t be able to tell the difference…I bought both and tried, it was indistinguishable.

I haven’t dealt with lighting “upgrades” and LED kits for many years, so I was sort of expecting the worst, especially taking a random shot in the dark at buying random (probably Chinesium) Amazon parts. I was figuring it just either flat out wouldn’t work, would end up giving weird gremlin-type issues, give the annoying fast-blinking stuff or whatever, but these actually worked, and work well. And with my use case, I only have my one single headlight and this came in packs of 2, so I have a spare to hang onto.

I popped the headlight off my bike, took out the old bulb, put one of the 2 that came with the kit in its place, turned my bike on and voilà, new LED light. Did not have to fool around with resistors, didn’t need to adjust anything or have to fool with the stock reflective case. Using the incandescent/halogen OEM stock housing worked for these just fine. My bike is older and I don’t have to worry about computer error codes or any of that junk, so I can’t speak to if these would start throwing any codes. Output is perfect, both low-beam and high-beam work, the light quality is good, and they aren’t stupidly outrageous so they blind everyting in a 5 mile radius driving at you. The color looks to me to be a bit on the cooler end of pure-white which tracks with the 6500k rating but it’s far from being those annoying virtually blue lights you’ll see on clapped out Honda Civics or whatever. You also get the added benefit of doing away with the energy intensive incandescents and saving some power, which at least in my use case with older motorcycles can mean a lot. Saving a few watts here and there by using LEDs can mean the difference of having that little extra headroom to install and run a USB-C buck converter to charge your phone and/or having heated gloves/grips, etc.

I’ve put about 1,000 miles on the bike since installing them and so far have had zero issues, as well as a few night rides. At night the color of the light is great, it doesn’t strain your eyes and lights up the area ahead of you nicely. The added intensity of the light and the 6500k color also work well during the day for running lights, they are much more noticible during the day compared to the old incandescents, which on a bike I’ll take anything that means someone has a better chance of seeing you. I have noticed when I pull in/out of my dark garage, or at night when sitting behind a car at a stop light, that there is a bit of a jitter/flicker with the light. Kinda hard to explain but it sorta looks like how when you record video around certain fluorescent lights you get that flicker from the framerates not being sync’d up correctly. However it isn’t nearly to that extent or that bad, as when riding down the road you don’t notice it. It’s so minimal it’s to the point I honestly can’t tell if it’s just being caused by the vibrations of the motorcycle running, or actually coming from the light. Either way, it isn’t close to being enough of an issue that it outweighs the pro’s of using it.

Great product, really level up your driving conditions, you’ll feel way more confident with this LED bulbs on your car compared to the OEM halogen bulbs. So far I only have had the opportunity to drive in urban areas at night, looks like it’s not bothering anyone, but you can see way further, the high beam is ridiculously bright, like you can see two or more blocks ahead. I bought these for a 2017 Nissan Sentra B17, two pairs for high and low beam, even thought Amazon Confirmed Fit stated that these will work only on the high beam for my car, so I bought one pair first, when check the right fit in both positions ordered the second pair, it fit perfectly on my Sentra. It came in a really nice looking box with new pair of gloves for protect the LED during installation, it was really plug and play, the car recognized it right away, high and low beam indicator works on the car panel. I can’t speak for durability yet, will update in the future, hopefully a few years. The size is really 1:1 and works with both sockets of my car H9 (high beam) and H11 (low beam). The high beam in the 2017 Sentra is really to replace as it have no cover, the low beam is a little more trickier, on the driver side you have to temporarily remove the air duct, but you can expect to spend 15-30 minutes replacing this by yourself. Great product
