  3. Tony Woodard

Very good product that worked great and easy install.

  4. Jordan Schimmel

This mdule is working great on this 05 Lesabre. Cost was less than 1/2 of regular Auto store price.
Make sure you apply some “thermal grease” to the back during your installation.

Update! Aug 25, 2024…This module failed in only 3.5 months. OBD Code 1350 on the 05 Lesabre.
Purchased a new one from AMZ…will try to comminicate with the mfg / distributor for refund / return.

Original equipment lasted 19 years..this one lasted bout 3.5. months. Not too good. jP..

Had the old Ignition control Module off the 2006 Lucerne with a 3.8 V6. Autozone tested it as failed. That was after I discovered two cylinders were not firing. I swapped the 6/3 coil with the 5/2 coil to see if it was a bad coil, but which ever coil was on the top worked and which ever was in the middle didn’t work.
Got the new module, installed it in less then 5 minutes. Started the car and it was right but decided to manually clear the codes instead of waiting for the PCM to clear itself. After that it started via the remote start and purred like a kitten.
So now I wait and see if this unit lasts. Other peoples reviews show it may fail with days or last years. Luck of the draw I guess. However, $71 for this one, vs $223 for the one from the auto parts store… makes this one worth the risk.

This brand had the highest ratings for ICU’s. I made a mixture of heat sink paste and dielectric grease, sanded the base plate and hopefully this combo of protection will last for many years. I also replaced 3 coil packs for a mere $40. Runs better than ever!

  7. Antonio Sevilla

Had an issue with backfiring after warm up, took almost a year trying to diagnose, changed everything but the ICM, went in easy all 14 wires lined up and worked like a charm. Don’t know how long it will last but did exactly what I was supposed to do. If it goes it at least I’ll be prepared to pay the $200+ for an AC Delco.

  8. Amazon Customer

The price was less than 1/3 of what my local parts stores wanted. Installation was easy, the only real thing to consider is the tabs that contact the ignition coils can be bent very easily so be very careful when installing. I’m unsure what long term reliability will be like……

But at the end of the day , for the money, I feel it was worth the risk. Have put 250 miles on the car so far with no other issues.

Fitment good, short term quality seems good too.

Make sure you clean the metal under the ignition module well and apply a thin layer of white thermal paste to the underside of the module to air in heat dissipation and to ensure a good clean ground.

No me habia dado cuenta que estaba mal el modulo , tengan cuidado

1/4 the price of any local stores! Installed and works great. Car is back up and running as good as, if not better than, before!

  11. Dan

Perfect fit. Works exactly as OEM ignition module. Operation is perfect so however it’s been only a few miles.

  12. Amazon Customer

Only last 13 months, cylinder 1,4 coil had no spark, replaced coil still no spark, swapped coils still no spark replaced ignition control module again from O’Reilly $199 and running great. This ignition control module did not last and it cost me a stall at intersection and 200 more to replace it with quality one from O’Reilly.

  13. Dan

Been using it for almost a month now, bolted right in no problem and vehicle fired up. No more codes.
