10 reviews for Cardone 77-7727 Remanufactured General Motors ECM Computer

  1. Tim Biggs

Bought for 1990 Chevy corvette – says works with model 1227727 but obviously doesn’t , when plugged in – which was stated is plug and play – meaning nothing else needed , the security system is activated , cooling fan runs non stop will crank but nothing happens. I e bypassed the vats system and it still acts the same way! Guess the $100 computer was just that and you get what you pay for , oh and I’m writing this also because there is no contact for any type of customer support lol

  2. Linda Blackie

Very well re-manufactured part. I never got a chance to actually try it.

The Cardone 77-7727 ECM is compatible with a number of GM vehicles, including some Corvettes. The compatibility information on Amazon indicates this part is compatible with the Corvette ZR-1, 1990 thru 1995. It is not.

Do not purchase this item if you are looking for an ECM for a C4 Corvette ZR-1. You are looking for the AC Delco 16163993 or equivalent.

1990 ASC MCLAREN TURBO GRAND PRIX
She now runs great. Ran a code 42 during diagnostics (esc electonic spark control)
Tested and checked for ground, replaced knock sensor to no avail.. ECM fixed it.
    Thanks. Quality part

  8. John Burke

I inserted the EPROM from the old ECU. Checked for error codes and found none. Turned the key and my 1990 Corvette roared to life. It worked perfect and solved the problem.

  9. Steph

Radiator fans no longer work after installation on a 1990 C4 Corvette
