Important – VIN required

After purchase, you must provide your vehicle identification number (VIN). We will program the ECM to match that VIN before we ship the unit to you.

Security password relearn (required before starting)

• A 30-minute “security password relearn” procedure must be completed before the vehicle will start with the new module.
• This is a do-it-yourself procedure. It requires either:
  • A battery charger connected to the vehicle, or
  • Jumper cables connected to another vehicle that is left running for the duration.
• We include step-by-step instructions with the module.

Crankshaft variation relearn (may be required once running)

• After the vehicle is running, a crankshaft variation relearn may be required. If needed:
  • The check engine / “service engine soon” light will illuminate and diagnostic trouble code P0315 (or Code 0315) may be stored.
  • You will need a scan tool capable of performing the crankshaft variation relearn and clearing the related codes.
  • The vehicle will run, but the warning light and stored code will remain until the relearn is completed. If you do not have a suitable scan tool, a repair shop can perform this service.
