Condition & Warranty
- Refurbished and tested for functionality.
- No core charge – you keep your old ECM.
- One-year replacement warranty.
Installation Notes & Required Procedures
- The vehicle may or may not start immediately after installation:
- If the vehicle does not start, an anti-theft (security) password relearn will be required.
- The vehicle may start and run for weeks/months and then fail to start later, sometimes storing code P0633. If that happens, the security password relearn is required.
- Recommended: perform the anti-theft password relearn at the time of ECM installation to avoid future inconvenience.
- This requires a programming tool (J2534 interface or equivalent) and a subscription to ACDelco TDS (ACDelco Technical Delivery System). Typical cost to program one vehicle via ACDelco TDS is around $40. A properly equipped auto repair shop, dealer, or qualified locksmith can perform this procedure.
- After the vehicle is running, a crankshaft variation relearn is required. If not performed, the “Service Engine Soon” light may illuminate and code P0315 may be stored.
- You will need a scan tool capable of performing the crankshaft variation relearn and clearing related codes. If you don’t have one, a repair shop can perform this step.
Flex Fuel Vehicles
- If your vehicle is a flex-fuel model and there is any E85 in the fuel tank, drain the tank and flush the fuel lines before installation so the new ECM can calibrate using gasoline.
Shipping
- We ship within one business day of payment.
- Same-day shipping for orders placed by 2:00 PM EST (Mon-Fri).
Notice about ACDelco TDS
- Flashmasters does not use ACDelco Technical Delivery System (TDS) services for any module services. (ACDelco is an automotive parts brand owned by General Motors.)

I purchased this product BELIEVING the reviews that I read. I sent them the s/n, make, model, year..all pertinent information. It arrived in a timely manner, no complaints there. I installed it in the vehicle, and before starting, had a locksmith come around for the key programming. With the key programmed, it still would not start. I took it to a local shop that I deal with who had the GM software. The issue was that the ecm had two S/N’s in it, mine and apparently the other vehicle it came from. It had to be wiped and redone over. Cost.. $400.00. Keep this in mind when you order from these people.
