What you are buying
- One refurbished and fully tested ECM (service number 16263494), programmed to your vehicle using your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
- Instructions for required relearn procedures (see below) are included.
Important: After purchase you must provide your VIN so we can program the ECM to exactly match your vehicle prior to shipment.

Installation notes / possible post-install steps
Two procedures may be required after installation:
- Anti-theft (passlock) relearn
- If required, the vehicle will not start until the anti-theft relearn is performed.
- Crankshaft variation relearn
- May be required once the vehicle is running. If needed, the Service Engine Soon (SES) light will illuminate and Diagnostic Trouble Code P1336 will be stored.
- You will need a scan tool capable of performing the crankshaft variation relearn and clearing related codes. If you don’t have access to a suitable scan tool, a repair shop can perform the procedure and clear the code.
- The vehicle will run normally, but the SES light will remain on until this relearn and code clear are completed.
Both relearn procedures and troubleshooting instructions are provided with the unit.

Flashmasters ECM does not use ACDelco Technical Delivery System (TDS) services for module programming. (ACDelco is an automotive parts brand owned by General Motors Company.)

Arrived quickly, programmed properly, good communicators.
Easy to follow instruction on programing security key code from vehicle, worked the first time.
Fixed my transmission locked in “limp mode” problem !!
Didn’t have to do the crank sensor thing since my 99 S-10 has a distributor no crank sensor.
That was it, after dropping the transmission pan twice to change two solenoid, problem was solved by changing the ECM.

It is a quality product and it is plug and play but it does require that you do a crankshaft sensor relearn procedure as well as an antitheft relearn to it, as in the description. Happy with my purchase and would recommend in the future.

I had a part throttle miss on #5 that wouldn’t go away with all the other fueling and electrical parts that were replaced.
I followed the installation instruction sheet that came with it and it CURED the problem 🙂

Van started up right away per key learning instructions. (so happy) Tho the Van body is falling apart, the replacement ECM is giving it life, it’s under 190k mileage, under driven. Thank You again!
I should send you guys pictures of the weather ruined ECM, case split open.
