Since it is low profile with no fan, installation took just a few minutes even removing the coolant tank on the 2012 PRIUS passenger side. The old LED that burned out that I installed before was touching the coolant brackets and this is short profile enough not to. I plug it tested it for a minute before I install it in its socket. I am not sure about its longevity since I just installed it and tested it for a few minutes and bright enough for what I wanted. I will for sure update the stars later on. I take Amazon reviews seriously because I based my purchases based on it. I read a lot of reviews before any purchase and disregard all those stupid reviews. If this works out well, I may get one for my daughters Scion and update the stars.
What I liked about it is it says the bulb is guaranteed 365 days, I was disappointed on those one star reviews who did not contact the seller and put it in their review instead of complaining. Now we dont know if the seller will honor it.

At first, I really liked these bulbs. They had great brightness, no flicker and a wide lighting angle. It is difficult for my wife to drive at night and we usually are only day drivers – so other than the daytime running lights, we seldom use the car lights. These bulbs did make it easier for her to see and navigate at night, while they worked. First, the right side bulb failed about 7 months after install. Then, this past week the left light failed at month 10. (They may have failed sooner, this is just when we noticed – again, we don’t drive much at night). This wouldn’t be a huge deal if the geniuses at Chevy hadn’t designed the 2008 to 2012 Malibu’s so that the entire front of the car needs to be disassembled to replace a light bulb. My 2004 Malibu for example, it’s just 3 screws a BAM, you can replace the bulb. Unfortunately, you need a car lift, about 3 to 4 hours of work (and maybe an engineering degree?) to get at the 2009 Malibu headlight bulbs. Having to replace these is about $300+ in labor at the mechanic so the fact that they failed in less than a year when they advertise 50,000 hours of life (5.7 years of ON TIME) and I got 12 years of life out of the Halogen bulbs that came installed from the factory means I am screwed out of a ton of cash for installation labor and over 8 hours of my time waiting for the dang bulbs to be replaced 2 times.
I tried to contact the seller after the first bulb failed and they never replied. Amazon is offering me a refund with return of the bulbs, but that falls far short of my cash outlay.
